recently everything is moving so fast. its like im in a rollercoaster that just keeps twirling and twirling. Its fun though, not too scary. Sometimes it can get a bit scary too. You can come off the rollercoaster...but you cant slow down. If you come off then you just give up....

I was trying to do somethin really fairy taley.... Didnt really come out as i planned but im happy with the results anyway... Actually we had balloons for this photoshoot - this was supposed to be the main focus. But they bursted for some reason and the usual wind we have in Ireland didnt appear so i got something else out of it...

Actually we went to Galway to see Beardyman, next day we passed Clifs of Moher which is applying to be one of the 7 nature world wonders! And Ailwee Caves which was cool only when we saw the undergound water....
By the way there was extreme lighting conditions in the caves- there was basically no light, everyone were using flash to take photos in the cave. I dont like flash too much as it can kill the atmosfere so i pumped my ISO to 2600.... my camera rocks!

I can upload all my test shots here... =) this is from the time when i doscovered that when i pit some vaseline on th corners of my filter then i can get such an interesting foggy corners! I like messing around like that. I could really great a somekind of dark story next to that photo but im lazy. hehehee. actually im rally busy. I am working really hard now in office, its unreal busy... im a travel coordinator and that volcano kept me really busy today. you know, flights and stuff being cancelled and stuff... anyway i will run out again, some kind of band festival, i will be taking photos....yey!! can tick another box in my photography wishlist now =)

I was thinking to upload picture of my seiling today because i am in bad form. Seilings mean no emotions for me. It means if you are sad the you will lie down and look at the seiling. But actually i didnt do that. I was working today. I was helping my mum with stuff.
Now i have to make the fire to get warm, then i have to do some washing and then i will start making ginger cookies!!!!!

Good Day!
From Dublin to Copenhagen. From Copenhagen to Stockholm and from Stockholm to Tallinn!
Longest day ever!

Yesterday i woke up 4.40 am, got to bus station to get my bus by 5.30 am. I was sure i will be at home in Estonia by 9 pm in evening!
But No. My flight from Dublin to Tallin was via Copenhagen. It was delayed due to bad weather.
Then in Copenhagen we missed connecting flight to Tallinn and next flight to Estonia was full. "What a nightmare," i was thinking. We got a free food voucher from SAS- at least.
After lot of waiting they said we can get a flight to Stockholm and then from there to Tallinn.
Flight to Stockholm was delayed.
Eventually we made it to Stockholm and it went pretty smoothly there so i started feeling better.
Flight from Stockholm to Tallinn was about 11 pm. Operated by Estonian Air. It was very funny. We had to take an airport bus to get to the plane and the plane was SMALLEST PLANE EVER. It was not Boeing as usual. It was something funny, cant remember. While entring into the aircraft i had a feeling that this is going to be the worst flight in my life.
When we took off everyone seemed to be in a really good form in plane as it was so small and everyone were making jokes with eachoter about it. I really felt like all the people are in Christmas spirit. Service was the best ever! We got free food, sweets and lots of smiles!
It really made me feel really good after all this waiting in airports and not eating properly as i couldnt leave from the que!
Anyway i made it home about 3 am.
This morning when i woke up i saw beautiful sunshine outside and i was thinking wow what a lovely weather. Actually its not so lovely as there is -18 outside!!!
Spending about 15 minutes out with camera made my camrera have a blackout! IHe stopped working and didnt want to be outside!
I will not take it out with -20 anymore! I knew cold is bad but i didnt know that i cant spend out with this even 15 minutes! Mental. Anyway it is working fine now.

Project 365 will start from 1st January 2010. That means i will have to take a picture every day and post it here. I will do this EVERY DAY! Sometimes when i have a photoshoot i will post more. Or maybe i will create a new blog only for this project!!!
Yeah- the picture below is basically just a button click as i didnt have time and warmness to think about composition and camera settings really. Anyone has tips for shooting toys out in -20?

My Faces of World Project had died out for couple of months- now im back on track with this again. Check-out my website, i have opened new clomumn called PROJECTS. I will be adding all the faces from different places into that folder. All the project photos will be very simple- just plain background, no flash, natural light (im using only reflector to bring the face more "alive"). And during the photo session there is lot of chatting with models about their culture, manners and country!

The bright tunnel has been put together piece by piece. It been taking for one year to build it up- each piece put in place with kindness and joy. Its fragile, its sensitive. Still.

It takes only one day to make it wobble again, takes one day to mix up the bright stones...
This tunnel is like a trust- its hard to built it up but easy to mix up and almost impossible to put it together same way like it used be. It can be fixed-yes. But it cannot be the same.
There are 6 (or even more) billion people in the world. Yet its impossible to find someone like you.

Each one of us has our tunnel, our own way to built it up, our own way to fix it and our own way to match it with someone else.

If i could draw the tunnel of my life to paper then there could be probably all the colors and shapes you can think of. Sometimes it would be wobbly, sometimes it would be straight, sometimes it would have bright colors, sometimes darker. Like we all would have. All of us. No exceptions.

My romantic soul is crying today. My tunnel is shaking.

I had a dream. I was walking down the street with my camera, stopped and started taking photos of the pond full of ducks. Suddenly my camera built-in flash went off without a reason and it fired out quite lot of light towards the lake. All the ducks got a fright and were trying to fly away. They couldnt really fly away so they were just making really fast moves to get as far as possible from me. But one of the ducks was different. He started coming towards me. I still didnt try to take photos of him... i never tried to take photos of ducks anyway... This duck was nearly in front of my lens... Suddenly he jumped on me, and really agressively! He was trying to attack me! Small little duck attacking me who is like i dont how much more bigger than he is. He was so agressive that i had to run... and run really fast! I couldnt scare him off. He was as fast as i was! It was very difficult to fight with a little but agressive and fearless creature.

I dont remeber how did this dream ended, but it was very intense the whole time when i had the duck biting my neck, my legs etc. What does that dream mean when the smaller creature tries to fight with the bigger one?

Anger, frustration taking over his body.... a wonded wolf is looking towards the moon trying to find something.... He doesnt realise that he is looking towards the Hope. sometimes im waking up in middle of the night and im thinking where am i. im thinking if im in my home in estonia, or i am in my grandmothers house. sometimes i wake up and i find myself in a random place in europe, or i find myself in my room in ireland or sometimes i really am in my mothers or grandmothers house in estonia.

sometimes when im half sleep and im in estonia, i start talking in english.sometimes when im reading my old diary's which are written in estonian but even if im in ireland i start speaking estonian.

i am thinking mostly in english. i speak english every day. i have a terrible estonian accent. i am an estonian. i dont mind to be estonian. this is a small country in europe and noone really knows about it...

its like i have a secret language here in ireland....

I am thinking of splitting up my blogs. One of them would be my personal stuff and other one for photography. I dont know yet is this going to be good idea. I love blogging and i love keeping dairies. I have been actually writing down my life since 1994 since i was 9 years old =) Then there was a vreak about 5 years or so. I stopped when i was about 19 and started this blog here when i was 23. Now im in a buzz to keep it going. Im laughing here that the years between 19 and 23 was like black hole :D Yes. Kind of. But anyway there is something good in everything. Now i have all good. Its strange. All good. its wow actually.

Recently thins are happening with me like i never ever could imagine to happen so fast =)

nice and cosy room. warm and perfectly intimate lighting. Saturday night. im looking around my room. I see lots of books (lot of them are photography books), lots of magazines, toys, picture prints and frames! Photo. Photo. Photo! Thats the first thing i think of when i wake up and the last thing i think of when i fell asleep. That has become my love, my passion. It makes me happy. It doesnt matter where i live. It doesnt matter what others think.

I love writing- i used to do this a lot. I took time to stop and think. And form thoughts into words in my blog.

I find hard to write when im really happy and im not confused! Is that normal?

i just have to share this. i am extremely happy of the opportunity to shoot the weeding last Friday- never done that before and feel like i would love to do that again! So lovely feeling to capture the joy of a most important day in somones life!

From next week i am going to holidays- randomly trying to hget to Estonia though Europe. I will go frrom ireland to France with ferry (probably) and then from France to Belgium or whatever with train. Anyway i will keep you informed and keep posting photos as well of course :)

Im alive, I feel... I feel but not too much. Just feel like everything is in place. My dreams, my choices, my love... If you add something to one place then you loose it in another place. Natural choice? Maybe. Or maybe not. I dont know now. Im still bit confused about some stuff...
Last couple of months the way i see the world is changed so much. I have been keeping quiet here. Im not sure yet. But i know that I love everything.
Its been a little concern for me that I haven’t been able to write recently… its not that I have nothing to write about, there is so much going on in my life at the moment. So many good things =)
As far as i know then all the great poets, writers and music composers have had difficult life... heheh. There is no good without bad and no bad without good. Does that really have to be like this?

i always want to go out with my camera. i have been shooting lot of toys recently but i would love to keep my eye open for other stuff as well. there is so much to learn in photography but most important is practicing ofcourse which is always fun!
i can be very obsessive sometimes as i am with the toys at the moment.. i am not quite sure if other people really get that thing with the toys- i am getting some feedback which is totally different.
So i have landscape here now.
I will keep trying, i will keep learning. Doesnt matter how long it takes but hopefully i will get there!

Do you believe that everything always happens for a good reason? Sometimes we hope and believe and keep trying to be positive but things are still going differently. Sometimes we have to go down to come up again, sometimes we have to feel like a toys before we can feel human again.

Things happen. You feel like everything starts to get back in place. You always feel in your heart that there is something, something missing… when you find something in one place then you might loose bit in other place. I would love to keep everything in a balance.

Sometimes I don’t know why im trying so hard, sometimes im forgetting to think positive. Thankfully I have ability to express myself and thankfully I am blessed with good people around me...

Thankfully there is many many things that are making me happy. I have moved to the new house after all!

My Long Weekend

I like the feeling being tired but happy. We had long weekend in Ireland (Monday was off) and i feel like i have been away on holidays. No stress, out of routine and feeling that nothing cant be more important than my family, friends and my own life (not work).

There was a big viking boat, normans castle and little old cottages with fireplace in them. There was the sun and the sea, ducks and duck babies. There was a sound of waterfall and the quiet sound of wind. It was like going back in time, i felt this with every part of my body...

It made me wish that i could live in a forest with animals. Waking up with sunrise and going to bed with sunset. Feel the smell of fresh mornings and having my morning coffee outside in my garden filled with wild flowers. My day would be filled with taking care of animals and herbs...

I am a big dreamer.

Food for thought. Food for life and food for heart. Feels like the Soldier is feeling again. Weapons are loose in the Soldiers hands.... One more push and the weapons will be history. And the battles will be forgotten and war will stay behind the mountains.
